COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Ottawa Hospital and the University of Ottawa are proud to offer the inaugural Thoracic Rare Cancers Symposium (THORACS), to take place at the National Arts Centre, Ottawa on Friday, October 3, 2025.

This one-day symposium, preceded by a dinner on the Thursday evening, has been designed to provide thoracic cancer specialists a unique opportunity to come together and discuss the current state of diagnosis and management of rare thoracic cancers. With the advance of molecular diagnostics, an increasing number of rare lung cancers are being identified (e.g. Her2, SMARCA4, NTRK, NRG1, EGFR exon20 etc) in addition to the more widely studied variants (e.g. EGFR, ALK, Ret etc).
